Tree Farm True Love

Hello everyone! I'm Elizabeth Taylor. Lover of all things to do with fashion, makeup, cooking (I'm not the best at it, but it's fun ;) ) and more. I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my first child, and my new husband, Matthew, and I can't wait to welcome our little Theodore this coming March. In addition to almost being a new mommy, I'm an accounting student! Between working, schoolwork, all of the (wonderful) symptoms of pregnancy, and balancing social life, at the end of the day recently I've tended to feel as if I was just going through my daily routine and going to bed. So my intention with beginning this blog is to allow myself a fun, creative outlet to share my thoughts with the world! Also, I think when you're told by multiple important people in your life that you should test out blogging of some sort, it might be wise to listen to them. Even if it pushes you out of your comfort zone. (ESPECIALLY if it pushes you out of your comfort zone.) I'll include pregnancy updates, style and makeup trends, awesome recipes that have worked even for me (they're hard to come by), and anything else that's suggested or I dream up!

This previous weekend my love and I celebrated a quaint marriage at a beautiful Christmas tree farm in Topeka, KS called HalfDay Creek. It was absolutely beautiful and the weather was in the sixties! Honestly that's just unheard of in December. We got SO lucky. With my husband beginning his new career soon and baby Theo on his way (relatively) soon, we were too excited about our lives not to be married as soon as we could! We plan on having another beautiful wedding and including all of our wonderful friends and family in April of 2019, after the waters have settled a bit, and even though we're already married I'm beyond excited for that day!!

Fellow Kansas people: if you'd like reference information for our photographer, officiant, or location, please reach out. I will always respond.

On to some fun stuff! Like I said, I'll be including my clothing and makeup just in case you see anything you like and feel inspired!

Bling Glamour by Nicole boutique dress - J.Crew Factory Heels  (no longer sold, similar linked) - Versona boutique faux fur stole (I wore a larger one to cover my shoulders, this one is quite a bit smaller) - MAC matte lipstick (in "Honeylove") - Revlon kiss plumping lip creme (in "Nude Honey") - Pearls are from my mother and grandmother but these and these both would have complimented the outfit well, too

First, this dress is SO beautiful. It's hard to tell in the photos but the ruffle sleeves have two layers and the bottom layer is textured- it looks so cool. Also it's the perfect length! I don't like super short dresses but I also don't even want them hitting my knees, I'm super particular and this dress was perfect. It's classy, simple, can be dressed up or down, and definitely festive for Christmas. I found it at Bling Boutique in Wichita, KS, but they have many more locations and an online store. I ALWAYS find the cutest stuff at Bling and the employees are educated and helpful.

Second, I have two lips linked here because I LOVE the color of this MAC matte lipstick, but the formula does end up a little dry and cracked looking. If I'm wearing this color, I put the Revlon lip creme over the top. They compliment each other really well and in my opinion the plumping formula does its job!

Have a wonderful Saturday
