Theo's Baby Shower + Babylist

This past weekend was our baby shower and it was SO wonderful. My mother did an outstanding job of putting together the cute little snacks and decorations. Thanks again Mom!

Theodore already has so much love being poured out to him, it warms my heart! I know I say this all the time but I seriously get more and more excited every day to meet our little buddy and celebrating his near arrival only escalated that by like a million. Thank you to everyone to came to help celebrate, I treasure you all more than you know 💗

When it came to our baby registry, obviously I had no idea what I was doing. Also, I thought about it for ages and could never decide on a single store to create one at, it felt so limiting. BUT Pinterest must have gotten the hint that I was expecting, because one of the ads one day was for a company called "Babylist".

Babylist is a registry website where you can add items from any store at all and it organizes them all in one single place for you. You get to customize your profile and include little things about you and your spouse and it was all really easy and fun. I think the best part was that literally any time I stumbled upon a cute baby item I could add that to my registry, whereas if I had a registry specific to one single store I would have to search through whatever that specific store carried to *hopefully* find something similar. Babylist was just so unbelievably convenient in that way. I've also found a few baby clothing boutiques that are way too adorable, so instead of registering for specific items from the store I had the option to register for a gift card to the store, which I thought was a great idea.

For the items that you do register for though, Babylist will keep track of everything about that item for you and send you updates about them to your email. For instance, I was registered for a highchair and someone at Babylist heard of a recall notice for some part on that chair. They not only sent me an email about the rumored recall but they also sent me multiple links to sources that could verify what was actually going on and suggested a few action steps for me. I was blown away! They also kept me updated about the pricing in my registry. If any item went up or down in price they would email me and let me know the old and the new price of the product. They were SO on top of product updates. It still amazes me to think about. Especially since my registry was so unique to me, considering I had random items from lots of different stores and they had to keep track of it all. Other than the product updates Babylist also sent me "Hello Baby" updates every so often. These updates included information about what part of my baby should be growing around this time, any weird things I would be feeling, advice from doctors/other moms, and sooo much more. I LOVE these. I read every article they include in them and I pay close attention to everything they include. These updates have been so fun.

The last thing I'll talk about (because I could go on forever about Babylist) is that they have their own Babylist online store that you can add items to your registry from. Towards the end of your pregnancy (I'm not sure exactly when it happens) you get a discount on any products in their store, and they have some of the cutest stuff!

Babylist made creating my registry SUCH a fun experience. I'm so happy I decided to make my registry with them.

Thank you again to my friends and family that have helped me celebrate baby Theo! Enjoy some of the photos from the shower!!

*this post was not sponsored by Babylist, I truly just love the company💗 *

I'll give you one guess as to why I had to include this photo...
