Valentine's Day!!

Hope you guys are ready because St. Valentine's Day will be here before we know it! I love Valentine's Day waayyyy too much. A day dedicated to celebrating the fact that we love those around us? Count me in.

But for those of you who don't sit around thinking about Valentine's Day for like three months before it happens, I've created a little ideas list to get your creative juices flowing just in time to pull off a beautiful Valentine's Day for those around you. First and most important though, is what to wear. Matthew and I don't usually do things super fancy and that holds for Valentine's Day, so I put together a casual lightly striped tunic with white jeans and red heels. Wearing pink or red accessories and shoes is a really good way to participate in Valentine's without overdoing it if you're not a fanatic (like meπŸ˜‰ )

*Also I did NOT realize how big my baby bump had gotten until we took these photos!! OMG it's almost game time!*

tunic - jeans - heels (also considered these for a really long time) - bag (similar- mine is super old) - bandana/neckerchief

I got the top from Target's maternity section and I'm here to tell you guys, do NOT sleep on Target's maternity section! I can never find anything I like in the maternity sections of department stores or the few maternity stores around me, but Target never disappoints. Like, ever. There were also a lot of cute spring maternity things coming out so I'm hoping for spring-like weather before Mr Theo comes.

So while you're on your Target run to pick up this outfit, be sure to also pick up the materials for these little Valentine's day ideas:

1. "Open-when..." letters. Open-when letters are the sweetest thing I've ever seen and they're also super simple. You label envelopes with things such as "open when you're having a bad day" or "open when you need a laugh" and you write corresponding letters to put in the envelopes. I love this because it's a gift that can literally last years (if they don't loose them or get curious as to what's in the envelopes immediately lol). They don't all have to be super heartfelt/feely feely either. It would be equally as cute with "open when you need a burrito" and a five dollar bill in the envelope. I know at least I'd appreciate that πŸ˜…

2. Make a cute brekky for your love/bestie. I found these strawberry cream cheese rolls  that look sooo delicious. If you want to opt for something more simple, but still festive, crepes filled with strawberries and cream would also be perfect! I haven't decided yet what awesome brekky I'm making but 1. it's the most important meal and 2. any excuse for a fancy breakfast I will be taking advantage of, so stay tuned.

3. Heart shaped pizza! I won't pretend to believe this will be a crowd-favorite, but I think it's super fun! Last year Matthew and I went with a heart shaped pizza for dinner and I thought it was hilarious. We got ours from a pizza shop, but it would be a super fun date night or galentine's evening to make a home-made heart shaped pizza.

4. Valentine's themed sweets. Lastly, it's not a holiday without sweets. This is nonnegotiable. Making your friends and family Valentine's treats is a classic way to say "I love you". Here's a brief list of some of the cutest Valentine's treats I've found:

Ombre Strawberries (a classic)

I hope you guys try a few of these fun Valentine's ideas! I honestly have too many fun St. Valentine's Day ideas floating around in my brain, so I'm still not sure what exactly the day will hold, but I'm excited!!

Happy Monday, friends!
