Athleisure: A Preggo Woman's Uniform

Hi all! I wanted to do a quick post on athleisure wear because (even though it's becoming very popular) it's still a developing trend, and I've found it's pretty much the only thing I wear any more. Pregnancy is a great excuse to be super comfortable all day ;) So I'm just going to share my favorite comfortable pieces and brands that can easily be thrown together to create the new(ish) athleisure look literally from photos I have accumulated after noticing how often I dress like this 😂

(above photo) adidas - running pants - top - cardigan (stole this cardigan from my mother forever ago, linked is similar and under $30)

These are literally children's boy's Adidas..... The Adidas store didn't have a pair like this for women and I wasn't about to walk out of there without them! You gotta do what you gotta do.

don't mind the ashes from Ash Wednesday😂

Left: favorite athleisure top (this color combo no longer sold) - bralette
Right: top - jacket (on clearance!) - leggings - similar tennis shoes

The key to athleisure wear is mixing a super casual top that you wouldn't necessarily wear to the gym with a pair of running/yoga pants that you WOULD wear to the gym. Or vise versa- a regular pair of leggings/joggers that wouldn't be worn to the gym with an athletic top that would. An athleisure outfit looks like a very well put-together gym outfit that's usually made of materials you wouldn't want to sweat in.

If you're looking for the best places to shop for athleisure wear, my favorite places are Marshall's, Macy's, Free People, and Target's new athletic lines are amazing! Target also has a specific "athleisure" tab on their website which is equally as convenient as it is hilarious.

Here are some final amazing athleisure pieces to add to your wardrobe: Calvin Klein hoodie - tunic - Ursa legging - striped leisure hoodie - lightweight sneakers

Little Theo is due in four days!! All the last minute preparations are coming together really well and I couldn't be more excited. Expect lots of photos

Happy Friday!!
