Fun Spring Outfits+Craft+Recipe!

Since spring has FINALLY decided to show up, I thought I'd share a few fun spring-y things I've done recently as well as spring clothing items that are tried and true classics that you should add to your collection.

First are these lemon buns! (P.S. Laura at Tutti Dolce is amazing, I'm a loyal subscriber as should you be). I used Trader Joe's lemon curd instead of making my own and they turned out amazing. They seem super intimidating because of they way they look but if I can do it so can you...trust me.

Yes I literally used a ruler....there will be no "guess-timating" in
this household 😉

If anyone tries these delicious Meyer Lemon Buns and has any questions feel free to reach out! I'd love to help!

Next is the coolest craft I think I've ever made. A level above the common spring wreath is the "Spring Carrot Door Hanger". It's so cute!! I had so much fun making this that I've decided I'll make a new door hanger or wreath for each season (we'll see if I stick to that). Holly at  "Love the Tompkins" created the directions super thorough so making this door hanger is much easier than you'd think. Hobby Lobby has every single thing you'll need for this so it's an easy one-stop craft and their crafting flowers are on sale more often than not so it isn't expensive either.

P.S. If anyone wants to commission one of these door hangers from me I would LOVE to make another!! Reach out!

Lastly I'll talk about a few spring wardrobe pieces and styles everyone should include during spring. This spring a periwinkle blue seems super popular. I found these super affordable periwinkle sandals right before Easter and thought they were perfect. For Easter I also wore a long flowy (not a word, I know) chiffon top (similar linked) from BCBG that I know I'll re-wear over and over this spring because it fits the season so well. And of course, white pants. Always.

(Above) Here's a close-up of the earrings from J.Crew Mercantile I wore for Easter (and a little peep at Theo). J.Crew Mercantile is the best place to shop for jewelry- it's so affordable and in my experience holds up really well.

The photo at the very top has a super classic sweater-tee which is perfect for spring. The top, shorts, and shoes are all from J.Crew. A classic J.Crew short-sleeve sweater makes for a timeless spring piece. This season I could only find that single one I linked from J.Crew, but Talbots has a few (my faves are this and this -especially in the green!).

Side note- it's finally time to start some serious planning for mine and Matthew's large "family and friends" wedding that we're having next year! I'm soooo excited so expect a few posts here and there with wedding-planning content because I'm sure I won't be able to keep it in!

Happy spring, everyone!!
