Lilly Pulitzer does Fourth of July

Hey, loves! It's been a while. Life's been pretty crazy. But I'm back. And I'm so excited to be back! For those of you who don't know, I got a summer internship. I've been working in one of the accounting departments for the University of Kansas this summer, and I LOVE IT. I'm learning an impeccable amount every single day and when I think my brain can't hold any more new knowledge, I'm given more. As hard and exhausting as it is to keep up and stay on top of everything, I'm unbelievably grateful for them taking me in and mentoring me.

In other news, the Fourth of July is quickly approaching and I thought I'd share the outfit I'm super excited to wear as well as other options I considered. Hopefully those of you who take your outfits as seriously as I do can get some inspiration here! PS I primarily shopped at Nordstrom for this post, but I also really love Old Navy's summer stuff and it's worth checking out considering the amazing sales they're always having. ALSO - last side note - Nordstrom's Anniversary sale is coming up, PLEASE let me know if you'd like to see a post covering that! It's always so amazing. I could show you the best deals, certain styles y'all are looking for, things that you can't usually get on sale that will be, or anything else you may want! DM me on Insta, Twitter, or my blog's Facebook!

For the Fourth of July this year I decided to wear my Lilly Pulitzer Anabelle top. Unfortunately it's no longer in stores, but here is another really cute one. The way Lilly's tops and dresses are structured are so flattering on any body type, it's amazing. I originally planned on wearing white jeans, but I've since come to my senses and I'll definitely be wearing shorts. It was over 100 degrees when Matthew and I shot this, and it was terrible. Not to mention a Schrick Fourth of July includes running around the yard shooting bottle rockets and other assorted explosives at each other, so white jeans may not be my best move 😉

How are my hydrangeas not falling??? LMK

I chose loafers because they look nice but they're so unbelievably comfortable. And from Old Navy they're very affordable and still last a really long time.

Two other really great outfit options:

Thank you to everyone who reads this and especially those of you who have reached out to me regarding the blog! I love answering your questions, giving advice, and just catching up with everyone. You're all the best!! Thank you for the encouragement!

Lastly, I want to shed some light on a great friend of mine. My girl Rebekah also just started a blog! Her first few posts so far are SUCH an accurate picture of the type of lady she is. She's very aware, very well-read, amazingly sympathetic, and passionate about real world issues. Visit her blog here! So proud of you Bex!
