Hunter Boots Season

It's been such a rainy past week for us and the forecast says we're in for more! I happen to love the rain and would love to see weeks more of it.

Since I've been wearing my Hunters so frequently I've had to get creative with the types of outfits I wear them with. I loved this easy combination because it's neutral, easy-going, and also easy to recreate! Sometimes wearing rain boots during this transitional season can be hot and uncomfortable. I've found the key is to pair them with shorts, skirts, and dresses! I have two J.Crew sidewalk skirts that look just as great as these shorts do, and I wear those when I need to look a little more put together than I do here! But for these super casual days, this outfit is perfect.

I loooove lightweight sweaters for spring time and almost-fall time. This one has been a favorite for a few years, actually. I got mine from a little boutique, but J.Crew Mercantile and Old Navy have great ones in stock right now!

These distressed shorts are from Old Navy and I have loved them. Most shorts I've worn that come with the seam folded along the bottom tend to fall out of the fold after one wash, unless it's sown down. These aren't sown down and have remained in place.

Lastly, the Hunter Boots. You can't go wrong with a navy pair of boots. I wear mine as often as possible, as I've said before, and I can't wait to own a house and have my own huge garden some day because then I'll get wear them even more often!!

This kiddo's faces are hilarious.

Thank you all for reading! I love when the weather inspires me and I get super excited to put together a post like this!
