A New Year's Eve Outfit for the Homebody

Staying in this NYE? Same girl ("in" being my pal Gabby's house). All I ever see are super glamorous NYE outfits for a fun night on the town, but only once have I ever went OUT to celebrate the occasion! And I GUESS you could wear your sequin dress over to your besties house, but wouldn't you rather be cozy?? Again, same girl.

I put this outfit together that's still very festive but is also comfortable and perfect for staying in- whether you're cozying up on the couch to watch the New York City ball drop or playing games all night at a pal's house!

Both the vest and sweater dress were found at Target! And they're currently on clearance- so run to your local Target and pick up these gems or click the link to shop!! I sized up in the dress otherwise it was too short/tight and ~accidentally~ sized up in the vest, and I'd recommend using your normal size. The pink fur vest is sold out online (still in a bunch of stores though!) so I linked similar items!

boots: target - nordstrom (20% off) - shopbop
similar vests: nordstrom - shopbop - tory burch (aaaaall the heart eyes)
similar sweater dresses (all Target): tie sleeve - basic long sleeve - chenille sweater dress

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year's Eve! Like I hinted at earlier, I'll be spending the day with Matthew's parents and for the evening we'll head over to my good friend's house! Okay little rabbit trail: I was in a business fraternity at Kansas State University called Alpha Kappa Psi and it was honestly my HEART AND SOUL- I would do anything for that fraternity and my brothers in it- for real. It was my favorite thing I did at KSU and I still talk about it all the time...obviously. But anyway, our anthem (idk if it's call that to be honest) was to the tune of "Auld Lang Syne" and I get slightly emotional when I hear that song now 😂 So I'm really hoping it doesn't play at this NYE party because I'm going to have to hold back the tears!

Aaaanyway, let's move on. I'd love to hear your plans and your resolutions! I think my main resolution for the new year is to focus much more on my health and wellness (such a unique resolution, I know 😉). I've been slowly getting much better at paying attention to what my body is trying to tell me, but I'm making it a point to focus so much more on that. Also, last year I wanted to read one book per month, and I think I read three books total....so I'm going to try for round two on that one.

Happy New Year and thank you all SO MUCH for taking the time to read my blog!
