Current Amazon Favorites
With spring quickly approaching, I thought I'd share a few things I've been keeping on my Amazon lists since basically last spring! Spring is my most favorite time of year and it seems like I'm ALWAYS preparing and dreaming of spring, so these things have been long awaited for me. Remember to use "smile.amazon.com" to have a portion of your sale contributed to the charity of your choice. I am using St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. If you want to use the same, make sure to type in that entire name, or other "St. Jude's" will come up and they aren't the same thing.
Gardening
I love these because they're huge, but not expensive. It's so hard to find large garden planters that aren't almost $100! Which simply isn't in my budget! These are also neutral and will match any outdoor space, or in my case, interiors. The only problem I've found with these is that they aren't super heavy- which is probably why they're so affordable. I will be on the hunt for a super heavy AND affordable planter to plant either a small "bush" like plant or tree in to "spruce" (😆) up our living room. It needs to be pretty dang heavy though so Theodore doesn't push it over.
As I said, for now all of the gardening I'm doing is indoor gardening. And as I'm obsessed with our interiors, I want everything that might be sitting out to look seamless. This watering pot is gorgeous! I could leave this on the counter or window sill with the plants and not worry about some ugly thing in the corner of my eye- which WOULD actually bother me. I noticed that Target also has some beautiful watering pots this year, too. (1, 2, 3)
I love this blue! These are self-watering which is super nice, and they come in fifteen color options! My favorites are this blue gloss, the pink gloss, and slate matte. These are pretty small so they'd be perfect for planting little individual annuals (pansies, petunias, marigolds, etc.) along a window sill. Their page shows them holding succulents, so that would be a great idea too!
Home
How beautiful is this?? I'm absolutely in love. I'm starting a little collection of chinoiserie jars so this would fit right in to our living space. Adding blue and white to almost any room can add a little calm and sophistication. I love mounted chinoiserie plates, jars on shelves or coffee tables, and especially lamps like this!
Another way to add some blue to your room! It can be difficult finding affordable rugs, but I've found Amazon has quite a few beautiful rugs for great prices. You might have to replace these rugs more often (every 2-3 years?) but living in an apartment I've found I'm re-decorating often anyway!
This is soooo hilarious to me 😂 Also super cool! I want to have a spring-time brunch SO badly soon and if that happens, these plates will be there.
I love these! Just as small and neutral patterns will create a calm feeling in a room, a large and bold patterns, such as the one on these curtains, can create chaos. I'd suggest using these in a large room, or on a relatively large or long wall, that way the pattern isn't distracting or annoying.
I'm realizing now that everything I have saved is blue and white. Can you tell how much I love it?? Wouldn't necessarily use all of them together, though...just a word to the wise. 😉
Clothes
How beautiful! I will be ordering this gorgeous little thing for our honeymoon! However, I think I'll need to order it ASAP, because the super low price leads me to believe the shipping time will be at least a month. In my experience, the super low-priced items on Amazon take forever to ship! Is that just a me thing?? Or is that true?
Ruffles on swimming suits like this are super flattering. They give the illusion of perfect proportions and a slim waist. I've never had curves (like at all), I'm kind of built rectangular honestly. So I've always chosen things like this with cinched waists or ruffles similar to this and it makes me feel like I have a little curve around the waist-line.
Another very flattering option with a ruffle. I think I consider anything in black as flattering, though. As I grow up I find myself wearing black a lot more often. It feels sophisticated and pulled together without having to try. I would wear this suit off-the-shoulder like the second photo on Amazon shows, but having the ruffle on the shoulder would be beautiful too! I have broad shoulders, so wearing it on top would accentuate that, and wearing it off would help them seem less broad.
Thank you very much for reading!! Happy Thursday!
