Teddy's First Birthday

Today we had our close friends over to celebrate Theodore's first year of life! It was a super chill little afternoon with lots of cookies, giggles, and pink moscato. I can't even express how grateful I am to see how loved my little man is. Seeing him play with all of my lifelong friends fills my heart in a way not much else can. Some good friends of ours also have a little man a little younger than Theodore and they both got to meet today as well! Theodore has a tendency to hit recently though...playfully, but it still worried me! Luckily, Teddy kept those little hands to himself today and even willfully shared his toys. 

Watching these two precious honeys play around warmed my heart! They're already best buddies! Also, I had so much fun being an absolute Pinterest mom in preparation for our little party 😂 I made way too many treats but I don't think I could have stopped myself if I wanted to. I have really gotten into making cookies with royal icing recently. It's my current stress relief and I couldn't recommend it more. 

The theme we were going for here is based off of the book "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak. Not only is Teddy already quite the bookworm, he is also unbelievably wild! There could not have been a more perfect theme. 

Lastly, I wanted to share a few shots of Teddy Bear just being Teddy Bear. He had a fantastic day- we could truly tell how happy he was. 

This is probably the funniest photo I have ever taken of little Theodore. I can't stop laughing at it!

I hope you loved getting a little glimpse into our Theodore's first birthday. Time has flown by so quickly, I can't believe it. Every moment with him is so precious, and every day I wake up grateful that he is ours.
