Spring Fab in Five

Hi friends! I don't know about you, but I switch my beauty routine with the seasons. For spring, I like to keep it light and easy and use products with SPF and some shimmer. This beauty routine is called a "fab in five" because it's super simple and can definitely be done in five minutes!

I love how sun-kissed and shimmery my spring-time routine turned out. I tested out so many products to strike the right balance- if you have toooo much shimmer...yikes.

skin-tint: Lancôme Skin Feels Good Hydrating Skin Tint in Cool Porcelain
blush: Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Rose
eyeshadow: Tarteist Metallic Eyeshadow in Exposed
mascara: L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Black Brown

I really wanted to show how well this skin tint works! In the photo on the left I'm wearing only the LORAC primer, and in the photo on the right I have added only the Lancôme skin tint in cool porcelain. I was so excited to see how well this evened out my skin tone and even kind of blurred out the pores! I've tried other skin tint/cc/bb creams and they have absolutely not lived up to this level. Honestly, on days that I'm in a real rush, I'll probably just throw this skin tint on and some mascara and call it good. I'm that happy with it!

The last few things I wanted to show were the beautiful colors of the bronzer and eyeshadow.

These and the blush all add a little bit of shimmer, and don't over-do it when worn together. I think the shade "exposed" by Tarte is perfect for spring because when you apply a small amount it gives your eyelid a little pink-ish mauve color that catches the light and I LOVE it. I think it would look good on all skin tones! Also, finding a shimmery bronzer that wasn't too intensely dark or too intensely sparkly was so hard! I actually spent around 30 minutes JUST finding a bronzer in ULTA....the employees probably wanted me to leave so badly but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! I think it's so funny that I thought the actual BEST bronzer in the store was a drugstore product- go Physicians Formula!! The next best, if you'd like a higher end product, was BareMinerals Invisible Glow Powder Highlighter. It's strictly a highlighter, but I was testing out the shade Tan and it would have worked similarly to this bronzer on a pale skin tone like mine.

Lastly, for spring I'd opt for a lengthening mascara as opposed to a thickening. Having long, wispy lashes is the epitome of a spring-time fresh face! It has taken some getting used to for me. I've always been one to choose the thickening mascara to make it look like I have dark, luxurious lashes. But for me, spring isn't about heaviness/darkness/thickness, it's more about light and easy. Obviously, this is your call to make 😉
