The Sunday Six

Hi all! I haven't done a weekend six in a long time, and since this was such an interesting week (😉 it was terrible) I thought I'd top off this weekend, which has been going super well, with a Saturday six full of the things that made me happy throughout the week!

No, I did not purchase this bag this week 😅 But I did discover it this week! Bags that are trending for this spring are mostly white and quilted, so I must have stumbled upon this on a discover page or Pinterest or something. I honestly can't remember where I saw it first but it's one of the most beautiful bags Dior has come out with in a long time!

2. This photo of Matthew and Theodore

This was taken in the fall before it started getting too cold. I was looking through all of our family photos that I keep in a folder on my desktop because I'm going through a sort of photo framing craze right now 😂 This photo looks just perfect in the Opalhouse frame I picked up.

Usually I make my matcha lattes at home, but during a not so great week, a perfect treat is a Starbucks drink. They rarely disappoint! The regular iced matcha green tea latte is great on it's own, but I add vanilla and ask that it's made with light ice- I take forever to drink and eat things, and my iced drinks always get watery before I'm able to finish them. If you're the same way, order it with light ice! Starbucks has a whole list of tea lattes for those of us who want a latte sans all the bad things!

I did my nails mid-week with Sally Hansen nail polish and it is still untouched. Their formula is super thick and lays well when you paint it on- sometimes I find nail polish is too runny or the brush strokes are very apparent when the polish dries. This is not the case with Sally Hansen. They have loooots of beautiful colors for spring and summer right now, too!

5. Gerbera Daisies

This spring I've been loving Gerbera Daisies! I've always liked them, I guess, but I can't get enough right now! I picked up this colorful little bunch this weekend and it brightens the room so well 😊 Target has these little bunny vases/bowls in their "dollar section". They're so perfect for Easter! If you're entertaining, keep a few on the table with your place settings and if you're a guest, fill it with flowers and bring it to your host as a gift!

Friday and Saturday Matthew and I got to stay at the Country Club Plaza while his parent's watched Theodore for a little stay-cation. We had sooo much good food, did some shopping, and mostly just relaxed. It was so nice! My favorite restaurant we ate at was Chuy's Mexican Restaurant. The vibe was just off-the-wall, it was full of color and art, and the staff and all of the guests were obviously having such a fun time. I love a good easy-going restaurant. Also, the food was astounding! I had a chicken enchilada and it came with a spicy green sauce that tasted so fresh and was the perfect touch. Even the "boring" sides that come at Mexican restaurants were phenomenal here. Matthew and I each got a drink as well, which were delivered quickly and also tasted great! They have lots of margaritas to choose from and I opted for the blood orange marg, which was easy to drink and matched my surroundings 😂 We will be back for sure!

Thanks for reading the Sunday Six! It's always a good idea to sit back and think about all of the things that made you happy throughout the week (especially if it wasn't a great week overall). If you had anything that shined a little happy light on your week please let me know! I'd love to hear about it!
