Saturday Six

Hi all! I haven't done a Saturday Six in QUITE a long time, but today 1) it's rainy, 2) I think I'm caught up on everything I needed to do today and 3) I want to. So today's Saturday Six is going to be six of my favorite things to do in and around Tablerock Lake in Missouri! My family takes a week vacation every year to Tablerock and we love it! I've heard so many times that it's for retirees or tiny children and nobody in between...I beg to differ ๐Ÿ˜‰ We have a wonderful time! I'd love to share some of the things we did this year!

Every year we stay in the Stormy Point Village and it has gotten better and better every year! There are three (very large) pool decks, one children's pool and two adult pools. (Also a very small children's pool near one of the adult pools but I don't really want to count that one because it's little little) There are two clubhouse-like buildings- one at each end of the village that have a restaurant, events, gift shops, coffee shops, and obviously the pools and bars. There are family events almost daily and they have GREAT deals on the shows in town! Truly, any age can stay at Stormy Point and seriously enjoy themselves.

2. Enjoy the lake

Tablerock Lake is beautiful!! There are huge rolling hills surrounding the lake and it makes for such a picturesque scene. This year we didn't bring any "water toys" as my family calls them (jet skiis, boat, etc.). We brought only a paddle board and fun lake floats. It was just as fun to just hang out and enjoy each others company as it was to be in the boat.

3. Rent a Boat for a day

Most years we have chosen one day to rent a pontoon boat for basically the whole day, this year we didn't. It's so much fun to pack a picnic, head to the dock and not return until evening. There are cliffs to jump, beautiful scenery to take in, cruise boats and performance boats all around, and sooo much more going on at Tablerock. We have used both the Indian Point Marina and State Park Marina. My favorite is the Indian Point Marina because of number 4!!

4. Eat at the Floating Cafรฉ

The Floating Cafe is a favorite of our families! You drive your boat right up into a slip connected to the cafe and head in for a bite! We usually do breakfast here but they serve lunch and dinner as well. If you find yourself here for breakfast, try the Captains Hash or the French Toast! They're my favorites ๐Ÿ˜Š Also- notice the sign says "leval"? I genuinely can't tell if it's a joke that I'm missing or if it's simply been spelled wrong ๐Ÿ˜‚

5. Shopping on Branson's Landing and Historic Downtown Branson

Another tradition of ours is Branson's Landing. They've got shops for every age and loooots of treats! (A requirement when I'm shopping is either coffee or a dessert๐Ÿ˜‹) I did a try-on during our vacation at the Mark Ashton boutique that we've been going to for a few years. I love Mark Ashton because they've got super classic pieces with a trendy twist- me to a T. I like shopping at boutiques just about as much as any other place- they all seem just like one another except for Mark Ashton! It immediately stood out to me and I loved everything in there and nothing has changed! Click the words "try-on" above to see that post.

Historic Downtown is super fun, too! This year we visited Dick's 5&10 and it was so cute! Honestly, it's just packed with weird and fun things- you could spend forever in there. My favorite things were vintage Coca Cola items, the taffy aisle, and the needlepoint aisle! There was sooo many needlepoint designs and threads to choose from, I was seriously in heaven! I chose a cute little frame-able thing to do for mine and Matthew's wedding and haven't started....I'm sure I will though ๐Ÿ˜‚ Lastly, we visited Mr. B's ice cream! So delicious and so cute! 100% recommend.

6. Fun on The Strip

Look at that, more ice cream! I could NOT narrow down "fun on the strip" lol. This year we saw a show called "Buckets N Boards" which is a percussion show, explored the Titanic museum, and went to Cakes & Cream Fifties Diner! It IS worth going to the shows on the strip! They're so fun and sometimes hilarious. There is true talent on the strip! Make sure to do your research and ask for recommendations. I've seen a few fantastic shows and a few that I'll more than likely never return to, if you know what I mean. I would love to give my recommendations if you need them.

It was super difficult to narrow down six of my favorite things to do in Branson. We did so much more than what's here and we never get bored! We've been visiting for nine years and plan to continue! If you want to see more of our trip (there's LOTS more) head to my Instagram and watch the "Tablerock Lake" highlight!

Thank you for reading!
