Sunday Six: 6 Nordstrom Sale Picks

Hi all! This week for a Sunday Six I intended on talking about six beautiful things about Lake Tahoe, but in my honeymoon blog post I would have been covering a lot of that anyway, so instead I'll do a mini Nordstrom Anniversary Sale cover! In my humble opinion, H&M is having an almost better sale, so I'll post all my favorites H&M sale items later this week instead of focusing on the Nordstrom Sale so heavily! I do LOVE Nordstrom though, so I can't completely ignore the sale. Here are my top 6 items from that sale!

A tall beautiful boot, always.

I got a Topshop supersoft sweater in the spring and it is PHENOMENAL. I've washed it a million times and it's still perfect and soft and cozy! I like that this one is more of a classic fit- the sweater I purchased in the spring is super oversized which is good sometimes, but when I want to look more put together I'll always choose a traditional sweater fit.

Talk about versatile! This would work well in spring, summer days on the lake or ocean, AND fall. It's such a beautiful and well designed pullover.

(seriously, thank me later)

For me, stripes are essentials much like neutral colored t-shirts and a pair of leggings. Simple striped tops are so easy to toss in your bag when you're traveling to make for easy packing. For your essential closet items it's important to choose well-made pieces and to not just get the first basic you come across. You'll wear your basic pieces like this one over and over again so you want it to last! J.Crew is the perfect "essentials" brand. They make super high quality pieces, such as this top, that you'll be able to wear over and over again. So thank goodness it's on sale- now is the perfect time to stock up on those basics!

Capes like this are my new favorite. My mother in law got me a super cute fur-rimmed (rimmed? I don't know how else to describe it 😂) cape for my birthday last year and I couldn't stop wearing it! Then I received another by Madewell in a Trunk Club package that I loved as well. They're so perfect to quickly take your outfit up a notch and sooo cute in the fall. I don't usually do dark reds, but this cape is so dreamy, I just might have to.

There you have it, friends! I tried to choose things that are actually a great value and tried to keep it to some classic fall staples. Things your closet might actually need right now! It's so easy to get swept away in a huge fantastic sale like this, so my advice to you is to look in your closet and decide what you'll need this coming fall and winter, THEN check out the sale! Have a game plan or things can get wild 😉

Thank you for reading this blog post and I hope you love my picks as much as I do!!
