Tortoise Accessories for Fall + Little Life Update
I know, technically it isn't fall yet. But if we're being honest, as soon as July is over I switch straight into fall mode. It all ends up happening so quickly that you might as well embrace fall as soon as you can! I'm doing this by focusing on what will be trending this fall. One of those things is tortoise shell accessories! While tortoise shell is technically "trending", it's actually sort of a classic style. I'd wear tortoise shell any time of year, but it's especially appropriate in the fall, and there are lots of great new options for this trend! I've chosen looots of hair accessories because those are always super simple to add to your daily looks, and a few other choices as well.
I got the tortoise hair barrette I'm wearing here from Target, of course! And here are my other picks:
These are all so cute and I can't wait to incorporate tortoise shell trend into my fall outfits 😍 I also hope to create a pair of tortoise shell earrings for my Etsy! Speaking of my earrings, I'm super excited about them right now because my mom is placing a few of the more "bridal" looking pairs in her bridal shop this week! Gotta love free exposure 😉 I've been thinking about creating business cards to leave there with the earrings but I don't even know where to start! If you've made cute business cards before please let me know how/what company you used!
And finally, a small life update regarding my family. Yesterday my immediate fam and I went with my older brother to see him off as he left for basic training for the Army. I talked on Instagram briefly about this, but basically- I couldn't be more proud of him. Jonathan lacks for nothing. He has a prestigious degree, a fulfilling job, a captivating personality, and now has offered himself up for his country. I really should have done more research up to this point on what he will be going through, because I've felt very nervous about it all and I know if I just had more knowledge it would help. And I'm not trying to make this about me, talking about this is very much about Jonathon. His bravery, his happiness, his path- I want nothing more than to be there to support him and cheer him on. I just hope he thrives in his new environment!
With that, keep an eye out for more fall-inspired posts and if you have any experience with family and friends leaving for the Army, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks so much for reading!
