Our Christmas Color Palette + Correlating Decor

Is creating a Christmas color palette slight overkill? Possibly. But I am all about hyping up the holidays (every one of them!) and I love a good mood board. Creating a Christmas palette and finding decor that suits it is a great mix of those things and is seriously getting me excited for the holiday season! This year I wanted to think outside of the box for a color scheme. So I included the classics with a twist. Emerald, ruby, and an eggnog shade of white were my starting points. I included a few varying shades of each with the sage and mauve colors. Velvet has been really inspiring lately so I added a very light pink and marigold to the list as their each beautiful in velvets and played nicely with the others. Lastly, when I added marigold it almost looked like gold so I added gold to the far left so marigold wasn't mistaken for true gold. Of course, you always want gold in your holiday color scheme!

I included some of my favorite correlating decorations from Anthropologie because I know finding unique decor that doesn't feel like a mess or doesn't clash can be difficult. I want my decor to always feel thought out and not boring. There needs to be a balance between exciting/unique holiday decor and organization, which is hard for me! Each piece is carefully selected.

Do you stick to a holiday color scheme? I'd love to see yours + where you find your decor! I'm a huge fan of Marshall's, Anthropologie, Target, and Hobby Lobby! Unfortunately with COVID I haven't been able to check out what those stores have right now but I've done some online browsing and it's almost as fun. We haven't put our Christmas tree ornaments up yet but we do have the tree up! I was more than ready this year to get the tree up and feel the holiday spirit, so we'll hold off on the ornaments and put those up when we usually put the tree up, right after Thanksgiving. Plus I need that additional time to finish my needlepoint ornaments for this year! 😀
