Daily Celery Juice

 


I read one time (like a long time ago) that daily celery juice is great for your body. I had never tried it or cared to until I saw it conveniently packaged by Suja, shown above. I figured, why not?? Of course I can only speak on my own experiences drinking Suja's celery juice daily- drinking celery juice could affect you much differently than it did me!

At first I didn't notice much of anything. It took about a week for its' effects to take place. However, that was to feel the effects. One of my good friends DM'd me on Instagram to share that celery juice is supposed to work well if you're bloated. Any time I have alcohol or anything fried, cheesy, carbs in excess....literally anything in excess I guess, I get very bloated! It's just something I live with and don't really mind, but when she said that I did notice that (after having wine the night before) I was not bloated at all. Which is wild for me. So score one for celery juice- totally works for bloating!

After about one week of having celery juice every morning, my skin looked and felt a little better, too. I'm lucky (in some ways) when it comes to skin because it's affected by everything. Again, if I drink or eat bad food my skin is a wreck the next day. If I touch my face I break out horribly. But, with that, my skin reacts really well to good skincare. So if I have breakouts and test out a new acne product, I'll be able to tell within a few days whether or not it'll be affective for me. Double-edged sword, ya see? Celery juice worked so well for my skin! After a few days breakouts began to lessen and redness began to even out. Side note: if you have excessive redness like I occasionally do, this Avène product is amazing to calm the skin. I use it post-exercise, after showering/washing my face and before moisturizer. 

The last thing I noticed was that I felt more regulated...if you know what I mean. My body had a daily routine that it stuck to which I feel like is the way your body is supposed to be!

Overall drinking celery juice daily had nothing but fantastic effects on my body. You might have to wait around one week to start seeing and feeling the effects, but hang in there because it's so worth it! I've since switched from pure celery juice to general green juice, and I haven't noticed any negative changes. (It has only been three days of green juice as opposed to celery) Also- if I were to switch back to regular celery juice, I think I'd want to juice my own celery stalks. Not only for freshness, but because it would be so much better on the environment! Other than convenience there's literally zero reason for me to buy packaged celery juice when I own a juicer!
